The prosecution of crimes and supervision of criminal verdict execution are the primary tasks of this office. In light of the increasing annual workload along with the growing complexities of the tasks, the Penghu District Prosecutors Office encourages its staff to carry out their duties conscientiously and aggressively, especially in the aspects of anti-corruption, anti-organized crime, and anti-drugs. Efforts have also included the investigation of election briberies, sexual abuses, infringement of intellectual property rights, economic crimes, and Internet crimes. These efforts are aimed to improve social morality and ethics, to establish the foundation of democracy, and to safeguard lives, freedom, and properties of the people.
